Meghan McKenney, M.Ed.

Senior Director, Counseling

Meghan is the Director of Counseling in the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OSFA) at the University of Arizona. Counseling responsibilities include Federal Financial Aid and Institutional Merit Tuition Scholarship processing, Client Services and Financial Literacy. Meghan began her career in OSFA in 2009 as a Financial Aid Counselor after completing her bachelor's degree in business management. Since then, she has progressively increased in responsibility, earned her master’s in education and was a recipient of the prestigious University of Arizona Staff Award for Excellence.

Meghan has presented at the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) conference and various events and trainings that directly support student success. Meghan has worked directly with the awarding of Arizona Assurance funding, review and determination of cost of attendance, and the creation of a home-grown supplementary aid application, among other responsibilities. She is committed to serving students and their families, colleagues and campus, and community partners in her efforts to make higher education accessible through financial aid.
