Joseph Elliott, M.S.
Joe joined the University of Arizona seven years ago as a Regional Recruiter, Mid-Atlantic Region. He now serves as the Director, National Recruitment and oversees the University of Arizona’s out-of-state recruitment efforts for both first year and transfer students.
Much of his work involves keeping a pulse on national student trends. He oversees a dedicated group of 10 recruitment members across the country who are on-the-ground resources and experts for students in every corner of the United States.
Joe’s passion for working with young adults stems from his previous career with the YMCA, where he served in various leadership roles for over 15 years. Joe believes that the key to building relationships with out-of-state students is in creating strong connections between the student and the University of Arizona. Mission based recruitment has always been a cornerstone in Joe’s approach. Joe is an active member of many professional organizations including NACAC and regional associations.
Joe earned his BA in Journalism from Cabrini University and a master’s in science in Recreation from George William College, Aurora University.
